It’s a great opportunity for people to meet the artists and learn more about their work in a fun, social setting. The show will run from 9/1 to 11/9. 

LAURA KARCHER:

Woodworker Laura Karcher is creating lamps and furniture for the show. She's crafted both traditional Japanese style Shoji lamps and more whimsical designs that follow the basic structure of Japanese lamps. Conscious of our increasingly disposable society she likes to ‘save’ interesting wood and metal to make unique furniture and sculpture. Laura takes great care in the details, like  matching the wood, considering proportions, and making the finish silky and inviting to touch.
